The ear wires are 14K gold filled and come with rubber ear nuts to prevent loss. Gold filled is safe for sensitive skin, very hard wearing and is lead and nickel free. Our gold filled is recycled.

The petals 14mm long (just over 1/2 inch) and are made from beautiful, solid brass which has been hammered and polished to gleam and shimmer. It resembles gold but is lighter and therefore ideal for earrings. It is extremely durable and rust resistant, and is recycled which makes it a great environmental choice. Brass can be recycled an infinite number of times which massively reduces the need for mining.

As with most metals, brass will develop a natural patina over time.
